Payal Singhal’s latest collection is very interesting – a unique blend that has been inspired by the bygone era of Indian costume and the rock and roll world of stage dressing! We like the feminine sensuality of the Mugal courtesans which contrasts with the modern pop culture fashion. Umrao Jaan and Lady Gaga maybe?? Quite a combination!!
The flowing anarkalis and lehengas with structure silhouettes in tulle, brocade and colors like pale blues, creams, blush rose and metallics, with embroidery like mukaish, filigree, resham and zardosi.

But what we are super excited about is Payal’s debut collection for little girls under the label ‘PS’. Now these would be perfect as a flower girl dress or even a cute little outfit to match mommy’s outfit? Yes!! The PS clothes are sized down versions of the women’s line. How cute is that???!! So don’t run around fretting for clothes for the little ones for the upcoming wedding. Just check out the pretty pinks and pastels in tulle and crepe with delicate zardosi work! Just enough to make the little ones look like modern day princesses.
We think this is definitely a collection worth checking out! Did you know that British Vogue editor Dolly Jones summed up a signature ‘Payal Singhal’ collection saying “Gorgeous dresses for dressing up in downtown New York with just enough of the genuine Indian magic that designers all over the world try to recreate.”
